I rarely get asked to do Memes so, when I do, I try to give them a go. Thanks Orpees.

This one works this way:

I’ll keep it brief:

Noel Coward – The master. Would keep us moving with witty, erudite conversation and have a lash at the piano for the after dinner entertainment.

Sammy Davis Jnr – Far more interesting, entertaining and with a much better story to tell than SInatra or Dino.

Bill Hicks – The funniest man EVER.

John Peel – One of the few bright shining advertisements for my profession and, again, one of the driest senses of humour.

Bob Dylan – Just on the basis of the incredible stories on his Theme Time Radio Hour.

Miriam O’Callaghan – Just so she could keep the rowdy boys in order. And to give us all someone to stare at all evening. Well, apart from Noel, obviously.

Of course it has struck me now that almost all of my dinner guests are male whereas I almost always prefer the company of women (I’m having dinner tonight with three of them!) Something wrong there.
