Genuinely sad to hear of the passing of Ronnie Barker as I’ve been kind of obsessed with him over the years. I’m sure the web will be awash with tributes both genuine and not but I will mark a passing on the show tonight for only the 3rd time ever – Spike Milligan, Johnny Cash and now Ronnie B.
He would be a comedy genius even if only for Fork Handles and the Mastermind sketch let alone two of British comedy’s most enduring (and opposite) creations in Arkwright and Norman Stanley Fletcher… Will be talking about him during the TV Cream section on Fanning tomorrow night as well.
